SAP pushes digital transformation even further and announces SAP S/4HANA, Cloud Edition
SAP S/4HANA, Cloud Edition, is introducing a breath of innovation and simplification for companies and their operations. The solution also offers the possibility to deploy hybrid scenarios – combining Cloud and On Premise solutions – for an unprecedented IT flexibility, promoting innovation. SAP S/4HANA, Cloud Edition, was announced at the SAPPHIRE NOW, the big annual conference held by SAP in Orlando, Florida, last May.
On February 3, 2015, SAP launched SAP S/4HANA, the new generation of business solutions, designed to help companies with better management in a digital economy. Entirely built on the SAP HANA platform and as per the Fiori interface, SAP S/4HANA redefines the way companies create value throughout the industries. A keen interest followed the S/4HANA launch, creating more than 370 new clients for the solution.
With the SAP S/4HANA launch, Cloud Edition, SAP wants to considerably extend its Cloud service offer based on the HANA platform.
The clients will now be able to operate entirely in the cloud with a digital entity including all of a company’s functions, including finances, accounting, project control, procurement, as well as product sales, manufacturing, maintenance and lifecycle. All clients, existing and new, will have the opportunity to adopt the SAP Cloud S/4HANA solution via a simple subscription system. SAP aims at supporting and coaching clients by offering them a predefined migration, a system conversion in the cloud as well as configuration and deployment turn-key solutions for an even shorter profitability period and quicker user acceptance.
The full offer also anticipates a native integration between SAP S/4HANA and other SAP Cloud solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors for human resources, Ariba for procurement, SAP Hybris marketing solution, SAP Fieldglass Vendor Management System and SAP Jam social platform. The goal is to allow the clients to execute their IT strategy at their own rhythm, according to their needs, while keeping the advantages and integration of their existing SAP solution. SAP S/4HANA, Cloud Edition, is also designed to easily connect to other business networks such as Ariba Network and the Concur solution, which is now a part of the SAP portfolio of solutions.
